We are concerned with our household water’s taste, smell and of course safety for our health. We receive water from the City of Houston. Among other things we are concerned with chloramines and radioactive content in the water. We are interested in a whole house system. Our plumber carries and installs the Pro Series brand of systems. We like the backwash feature so that there are no filters to replace.

We value your opinion of what system to have installed (model,etc.).

Aquasure Supreme 3000 is the best model. I have been using it for more than 2 yrs now. It is quite effective in even places like Chennai. The maintenance cost is also low. The cartridge needs to be replaced after 1 year or so depending on the usage.

How would you compare the Alkapod and the ionpod? There’s a big difference in price. I’d like to know if the Alkapod is much superior to justify the price and if so, in what ways. What kind of ORP readings do each filter produce? What do you think of the claim that it is the amount of hydrogen that is important, not the PH?

Why didn’t you compare the Crystal Quest Water Filter Pitcher? On another website (thebestwaterfilters.com), Brita, Crystal Quest and PUR were compared with Crystal Quest coming out on top.
